What is ESG

ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) is a framework used to evaluate a company's commitment to sustainable, ethical, and socially responsible practices, encompassing its environmental impact, social contributions, and governance standards.

How NFC Business Cards Are Reducing Environmental Impact

01

Production Materials

Traditional business cards are usually made from paper.

If a medium-sized company orders 10,000 paper cards annually, this could amount to approximately 100 kilograms of paper.

In contrast, a single NFC business card per employee, reusable for years, drastically cuts down this material usage.

03

Carbon Footprint

The production of paper cards involves cutting down trees, manufacturing processes, and transportation, all of which contribute to carbon emissions.

Assuming the production and disposal of 10,000 paper cards emit around 1,500 kilograms of CO2 annually, the shift to NFC cards could reduce this carbon footprint significantly as the production and distribution of NFC cards are a one-time event with minimal recurring emissions.

02

Waste Reduction

Paper business cards often end up unused or discarded, contributing to waste.

For instance, if 80% of the traditional cards are discarded or not used each year, that's 8,000 cards or 80 kilograms of paper waste.

NFC cards, being digital and reusable, virtually eliminate this waste.

04

Resource Conservation

Traditional card production consumes water and energy.

If producing 10,000 cards uses approximately 50,000 liters of water and 5,000 kWh of energy yearly, switching to NFC cards, which require minimal resources post-manufacture, conserves these resources substantially.
